Having Trouble with Factors?
Factors are what we multiply together to get a number. Or in other words, a factor is a whole number that divides exactly into a whole number leaving no remainder. For example, the factors of 15 are:
1, 3, 5, 15
Prime and Composite Numbers
Prime Numbers are numbers that can only be divided by 1 and itself. The following numbers are some examples: 3, 5, 7,11,13,17,19
Composite Numbers are numbers that can be divided by more than 1 and itself. For example 6 can be divided by 1, itself (6), 2 and 3.
