Holiday Mall
Dear Parents,
We are happy to announce that Mrs. Foley, Ms. DiPesa and Mrs. Crable’s students will be hosting the Dale Street Holiday Mall this year. This event is designed to give students insight into holiday shopping and spending. Our classrooms will be working together to create a mall simulation for the rest of the Dale Street students to come “shop” at. Students will practice important business ideas such as supply & demand, budgeting, sales tax, and balancing their own checkbooks. They will be challenged to budget their money and do their best to sell their products. In addition to the stores, we will have a “Food Court” that consists of a bake sale. All proceeds for the bake sale will go to the Medfield Home Committee.
The Dale Street Holiday Mall will be open for business on Tuesday, December 15from 9:00-11:15. We ask that you continue to discuss this with your child to gain insight into what he or she is learning and creating. Please support our event by donating baked goods for our “Food Court.” All baked goods should be individually wrapped or packaged together at a $1 value and nut-free. We thank you in advance for your time and support from home.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Foley, Ms. DiPesa & Mrs. Crable
